Gasco is proud to announce an alliance with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in relation to a new patented technology for gas turbine inlet air cooling.
Gas Turbines are used for power generation and gas compression. Gas Turbines are typically rated for 15 deg C ISO conditions. The higher the ambient temperature the lower is the Gas Turbine output and efficiency.
An invention by researchers at UTS’s Institute of Sustainable Futures improves efficiency and cuts operating costs in desert and semi-arid conditions. The improved efficiency for gas turbines reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
This makes it ideal for use in mining industries and remote communities in Australia.
The invention has been patented by UTS and licensed to Gasco. We are currently in the process of introducing this concept to mining, mineral processing, oil and gas and power generation industries.
Please see the attached link from UTS for further information. We look forward to working with UTS on this exciting new technology.
